“Why yes.. the Line Lock feature on the new Mustang GT works *very* well - why do you ask?”

I don’t know if it was ever said officially but, there was a rumor that Ford was going to void the warranty on any cars that the line-lock was used on.

Wasn’t the veyrons special key?

I feel like they should only void the warranty on the factory tires. That’s pretty much all you should be able to mess up.

Huh?

I think it was more along the lines of. If you are using the line-lock you are probably drag racing it so....

I hope that it’s just a rumour and not actually true :(
Wouldn't surprise me if it did though, turning the special key ONCE in a Veyron means bye bye warranty.

Supposedly if line lock is used outside of a dragstrip the car will alert Ford who will then immediately void the factory warranty.

So... they put it on the car - why?

Interesting. Lucky for me it was a press fleet car.

So people can drag race it. Some people aren’t going to care about the warranty, others are going to use it and end up breaking the car and Ford will deny the warranty claim, saving themselves money.
From Ford.com
, go to the bottom of the base last sentence
Electronic line-lock for 2015 Mustang GT is intended for use only on racetracks. Racing your vehicle will void your warranty.

Oh okay. Using it to do burnouts in a cul-de-sac is no problem then. Win.
